Not only an outstanding athelete, Christian Okoye is a super human being and now spends his time running the Christian Okoye Foundation, which helps economically didadvantaged kids. Mike Powell Mike Powell is the world record holder in the long jump... 29'- 4 1/2". When I met Mike, he was planning to compete in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. This image both commemorates his world record leap in Tokyo, Japan more than a decade ago and the training he was undertaking for the 2004 games. Unfortunately Mike injured himself before the games and was not able to compete. An interesting note, the gold medalist in the long jump at the 2004 games was a foot off of Mike's world record mark! This is a work in progress. The original will probably retail in the seven to ten thousand dollar range. An edition of 100 canvas gicleés are planned, measuring 32" x 24". They will be numbered and signed by both the artist and by Mike. The retail price will be in the $1,500 - $2,000. Doloris and Megan Megan and I are good friends. She is a trainer at the gym I go to and she has helped me lose... well let's just say a lot of weight! She commissioned a portrait of her maternal grandmother to give as a gift to her mother and I suggested that Megan be in on the act too! The Fish Market A scene from an open air restaurant and fish market in Montery, California. You can almost smell the smoked salmon and steamed crab!
